Autumn is apparently here and I’m finding the best thing is to carry a leather jacket with me everywhere. My favourite at the moment is this minimal black leather jacket by DESA, with some not-so-minimal lace print on the front actually made out of laser cut pony leather!

TABI
I finally got my hands on some tabi boots! I was a little worried as Margiela only goes up to a 7/40 (WHY), but they actually fit well. They’re leather on the inside so I’m sure they’ll stretch out a little too. The white leather tabi’s are still on my list for dreamy-all-in-white-outfits, but I think these brown hessians will get a lot more wear. Perfect transitional Summer to Autumn boots!
GOING FOR GREY
I only recently found out that Hussein Chalayan was the creative director for PUMA! When choosing some pieces from the PHC collection I felt I couldn’t pass up these beautiful grey leather high tops, availably exclusively at the PUMA Carnaby Street store. Having a look through his past collections for the brand, it’s definitely the shoes that are continually catching my eye; minimal aesthetic but practical and comfortable, it’s a perfect match I think!
WAISTCOATAPHOBIA
I’ve had this waistcoat in my wardrobe for well over a year, whilst I love the minimal design, I’ve been finding it tricky to wear and it’s only so far seen the light of day once. I think I feel this way about all waistcoats; they are quite dressy and almost feel like an unnecessary addition to an outfit. I finally triumphed yesterday, by wearing this piece with a simple sheer tank and plain skirt. Yay to not being a waistcoataphobe anymore!
LIFE’S A BEACH
Last Saturday I headed to the Roundhouse in Camden, for their Pop-up beach with some friends. It was insanely hot (I soon ditched the black trench), so we grabbed a jug of Pimms and some deckchairs and lay out to sizzle. It as pretty surreal being surrounded by sun and sand, with London’s city scape just about visible over the pastel crates, and yet still very relaxing.
The beach is open for August so head down there when you have a few free hours. There’s quite a family vibe in the morning but as soon as the 2 for 1 cocktails start, people soon crawl out of the woodwork.
UP ON HIGH
Enjoying the views on my last day in Zurich! Doesn’t the view of the city look so beautiful? Planning a photo diary for my next post so I can share with you all my favourite hang outs. Unfortunately, I got totally sunburnt whilst swimming in the lake, (still suffering now) so the last day was spent covered up and hiding in shady areas. That will teach me to only bring factor 15! Back at home now and working on a special project in London, I can’t wait to show you all when it’s finished!
LAYER UP
Hiding inside from the storm whilst it rains cats and dogs in Zurich, quite a contrast from the heat of yesterday, but hopefully clearing the skies for more sun tomorrow! Took these shots this morning whilst exploring the city, around Geroldstrasse; we went up the Freitag tower, explored the markets and lay in the park. The mood is so chilled here, nobody seems to have a job, as they just snooze in the sun all day! Pretty easy living. Follow me on Instagram/Twitter for more regular exploratory updates!
STEEL TOE CAPS
How kick ass are my new Nelly shoes? Nobody wants to get on the wrong side of me! Taken in Devon on one of my last days there, it was super windy and drizzly, a total opposite to when I arrived, but that’s what it’s like living on the coast! After getting these shoes I’ve definitely decided I need more sleek stilettos, I love the steel toes, somebody on facebook thought it was a DIY, which would be pretty awesome. There’s no real need for a DIY though when the shoes are such an amazing price anyway! You can find them here in all different colours.
COFFEE AND CAKE
Bike riding around east London with Jen a few weeks back, stopping off at every little unvisited coffee shop, offering up too many delicious treats to turn down. I recommend All Press on Redchurch street for the most delicious lunches, I had a chilli chicken sandwich that was too good! Followed by my favourite cupcake from Violet, the red velvet. There are always so many little gems that sit unvisited until a friend comes to stay and it’s the perfect excuse.
PASTELS AND GOLD
The thing I love most about dressing for the summer is wearing all pastels and nudes. I bought these Alexander Wang shoes back in winter when they were in the sale, knowing that when summer came around they would be living on me. I’ve been shopping around for some great pastel shorts but haven’t found any yet, for now I quite like the pop of colour underneath all my layers. These photos were taken whilst Jen was in London a couple of weeks back, now I’m super excited as I’ve just booked to visit her in Zurich in ten days! There’s nothing I love more than exploring a new city.
