TRANSITIONING

Autumn is apparently here and I’m finding the best thing is to carry a leather jacket with me everywhere. My favourite at the moment is this minimal black leather jacket by DESA, with some not-so-minimal lace print on the front actually made out of laser cut pony leather!

TABI

I finally got my hands on some tabi boots! I was a little worried as Margiela only goes up to a 7/40 (WHY), but they actually fit well. They’re leather on the inside so I’m sure they’ll stretch out a little too. The white leather tabi’s are still on my list for dreamy-all-in-white-outfits, but I think these brown hessians will get a lot more wear. Perfect transitional Summer to Autumn boots!

CURRENT INSPO

Some current inspo whilst I’ve fallen off the radar for the week. If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know I just returned from 32 hours in the countryside for my Mum’s birthday and brothers graduation, double celebrations! It was so nice to get out of London for a day, especially with the Olympic crowds building. London certainly feels more hectic than usual, can I say I’m jealous to those who got out whilst they still could?

NAVY & BLACK

I bought this dress back when London was having an extreme heatwave in May;  my wardrobe is filled with separates to be layered up and mixed and matched, which is a nightmare when you just want to be cool and comfortable. I have very few dresses, so I decided to take action and buy this Theory dress from the Farfetch sale. I love the draped back, and the huge front pocket, also the awkward spacing between hem, leg and shoe.

INTERIOR DECORATING

In order of appearance:

8. Rupert Sanderson batman-esque heels    9. Petrol Dr Martens    10. Ann Demeulemeester triple lace boots

Finally my room is becoming how I want it to be, much to my boyfriends begrudging tones, the shoes shall be on display! Even though I’m moving house in a couple of months, I wanted some shelves that could fit into the tiny spaces I have left; when I stumbled upon this one on Achica, I couldn’t believe my luck! It’s the perfect minimal design I was looking for, easy to put together, and the perfect size to put shoes, accessories and even floral displays on.

I can tell I’ll be changing it up every few weeks, right now it’s acting as my shoe overspill – new sandals that are dreaming of sunnier climates and winter boots that are bringing me crashing down to British summer reality.

UP ON HIGH

Enjoying the views on my last day in Zurich! Doesn’t the view of the city look so beautiful? Planning a photo diary for my next post so I can share with you all my favourite hang outs. Unfortunately, I got totally sunburnt whilst swimming in the lake, (still suffering now) so the last day was spent covered up and hiding in shady areas. That will teach me to only bring factor 15! Back at home now and working on a special project in London, I can’t wait to show you all when it’s finished!

LAYER UP

Hiding inside from the storm whilst it rains cats and dogs in Zurich, quite a contrast from the heat of yesterday, but hopefully clearing the skies for more sun tomorrow! Took these shots this morning whilst exploring the city, around Geroldstrasse; we went up the Freitag tower, explored the markets and lay in the park. The mood is so chilled here, nobody seems to have a job, as they just snooze in the sun all day! Pretty easy living. Follow me on Instagram/Twitter for more regular exploratory updates!

SUMMER HEAT

Enjoying taking a few days off with my brother visiting in London last week; dressing a little bit better in the heavy heat. I’m looking forward to picking up some more platform sandals in the sales (saying my Céline prayers as we speak!). Spent all day at the beach yesterday in North Devon, it was surprisingly hot and sunny; I had the most amazing swim with the surf blasting away the London cobwebs, that is until we had to run and rescue the bags from the incoming tide!

PEARL

This dress is probably the most amazing thing I own; it’s been worn a couple of times on the blog but never for a special occasion, such as my birthday on Wednesday. Believe it or not it is usually much bigger with a train, but Ann gave it ties at the side to bring it up off the floor and wrap it around your waist. The pearl accessories are inspired by Chanel SS12 and are just little cheapies bought from Claire’s. They look so amazing though, no? More birthday photos coming soon!

RITZING IN PARIS

Last week I was lucky enough to accompany Farfetch to Paris, despite the crappy weather we had so much fun and managed to fit a lot into the one day we were there. This outfit was taken outside the Ritz where we had afternoon tea; apparently they are closing over the next few weeks for renovation and won’t be open for another 3 years, glad we managed to go in time! I’ll be sharing the rest of my trip over the next few posts. Hope you’re all having a good week!
