TABI

I finally got my hands on some tabi boots! I was a little worried as Margiela only goes up to a 7/40 (WHY), but they actually fit well. They’re leather on the inside so I’m sure they’ll stretch out a little too. The white leather tabi’s are still on my list for dreamy-all-in-white-outfits, but I think these brown hessians will get a lot more wear. Perfect transitional Summer to Autumn boots!

LAYER UP

Hiding inside from the storm whilst it rains cats and dogs in Zurich, quite a contrast from the heat of yesterday, but hopefully clearing the skies for more sun tomorrow! Took these shots this morning whilst exploring the city, around Geroldstrasse; we went up the Freitag tower, explored the markets and lay in the park. The mood is so chilled here, nobody seems to have a job, as they just snooze in the sun all day! Pretty easy living. Follow me on Instagram/Twitter for more regular exploratory updates!

PASTELS AND GOLD

The thing I love most about dressing for the summer is wearing all pastels and nudes. I bought these Alexander Wang shoes back in winter when they were in the sale, knowing that when summer came around they would be living on me. I’ve been shopping around for some great pastel shorts but haven’t found any yet, for now I quite like the pop of colour underneath all my layers. These photos were taken whilst Jen was in London a couple of weeks back, now I’m super excited as I’ve just booked to visit her in Zurich in ten days! There’s nothing I love more than exploring a new city.

CROSSOVER

I’d been seeing these ponytail cuffs everywhere on the web and finally managed to track one down on BackStage*, it’s actually super easy to put on even though it looks like it requires skill! I’ve also been living in this Stylein jumper; I borrowed the sample from Varg over LFW and ended up loving it so much that I had to buy my own! It’s so nice to see design details in knitwear, it really is the perfect jumper for me. Super happy the weather is warming up and I can stop grumping around in all black outfits. I try not to, but it’s just too easy sometimes.

MONOCHROME LAYERS

Wearing: Ann-Sofie Back coat, Limi Feu coat, Charlie May sheer white dress, Dagmar black dress, Ann Demeulemeester triple lace boots, Alexander Wang clutch, Maria Nilsdotter rings

Outfit worn on the 4th day of London fashion week, it was so cold at Somerset House I was glad for two jackets, which meant that the dress didn’t really come out other than for these photos.. oh welll! I love the layering of the Limi lapels over the minimal Ann-Sofie jacket, it’s so much warmer having a collar around your neck in the cold! This was my last day at LFW too before I admitted myself to bed for the rest of the week; I’m back in Devon now for some serious country relaxation, sat in front of the roaring fire as we speak. Perfection. Hope you’re all having a great weekend!

Thanks to Lexxi for the photos.

MUTED PALETTE

Wearing: Vintage trench from Rokit, Ann Demeulemeester jacket and shoes, Charlie May shirt, Acne trousers, Moxham taba bracelet, Alexander Wang bag, Dior sunglasses

So in love with these thick wool Acne trousers I picked up at the last sample sale, I don’t think I’ve had the chance to put them on the blog and LFW seemed like the perfect time. LFW has been totally distorted for me this year, struggling between going to the shows as usual or staying in bed and recovering from the presentation that happened on Saturday, I think I opted for the last option on most days and it will probably get more and more that way each season. But that’s ok as my brand is so much more exciting!

Thanks to Jen for the snaps

In other news the winner of the Le Specs/ Sunglass shop comp is…

MAGGIE from Love Scrapbook!

Congratulations on winning some cool new sunnies in time for Spring!

PARED DOWN

Wearing: Aquascutum shirt, Issey Miyake skirt/trousers (scousers?), Alexander Wang shoes, Persol opticals, Dominic Jones rings, Helmut Lang half cuff bracelet

Keeping it simple for a Friday afternoon with a classic monochrome combo (Check me out blogging on the actual day of wear!). It was kind of a bad idea wearing white shoes though due to the rain; cue horror face at every muddle puddle or building site I came across, which was quite a few. Loving this classic white silk shirt by Aquascutum, with silver studs at the collar and cuffs, it’s the details that make all the difference.

NEW ARRIVAL

Alexander Wang Jade clutch/ Dream come true

I bought this before the new year and it’s still sat patiently in my wardrobe waiting for a special occasion to shine. Maybe I just need to fit it more into my everyday life. I’m getting used to not carrying a large handbag since demanding all the coats I buy have various large inside pockets. Since cutting down, I should be able to fit my life in here with relative ease. Now to take it on the cake run to Tescos…

STATIC

Wearing: Won Hundred coat, Antipodium knit, Complex Geometries skirt, Alexander Wang shoes, Tom Ford Malin sunnies

This Won Hundred coat has proven to be a coat I can’t live without; it’s thick, warm and has such deep pockets, I can leave the house without needing to take a bag. Score! Also, I realise my new shoes aren’t overly complimented by the thick fleece lined winter tights, but it’s super cold in London at the moment – until it warms up a bit this is how it goes. If only my Wangs were fleece lined!
