TWENTY YEARS

The most incredible editorial of recent times; to celebrate 20 years of Dazed & Confused, Riccardo Tisci has teamed up with Matthew Stone and Katy England to create this special ed, featuring some Givenchy favourites; I’m completely awestruck by the beauty of it.

MELANCHOLIA

I wanted to blog about this film as soon as I’d seen it, the most beautiful and utterly terrifying film of the year. The sound track by Wagner grips you all the way through, right to the terrifying end until you are left with silence and emptiness. I had nightmares that night that this was my life and my slow realisation that I was going to die. I think the best films are the ones that get inside your head; I think it’s far more terrifying than any horror film, because this would be something that no one could change and something that could just happen.. Anyway, I urge everyone to go and see it because it’s so thought evoking and beautiful, I think you leave slightly changed.

SHIPWRECKED

Wearing: Persol opticals, Limi Feu coat, Jaeger trousers, Dr Marten shoes

After fashion week I went down to Devon for some much needed recuperation time. The week was mostly filled with lounging, eating, exploring and lots of walking. Perfect! It felt great to jump back in a car again and go wherever I liked. I stumbled upon this shipwreck in the middle of the sand off Crow Point, so in awe of its history. What incredible textures too!

I’m off to Antwerp tomorrow for the stock sales, so excited! I’ll see you all on Thursday with lots of goodies to share I’m sure.

ABANDONED HOSPITAL

Wearing: Ann Demeulemeester Jacket, vintage top, Haider Ackermann trousers, Ann Demeulemeester platform sandals
Taking a walk around the abandoned Mildmay HIV Hospital. Our flat looks out over this building and we’ve always wanted to go inside and explore; our luck came last week when we were offered the guided tour. My only regret is that I only had my 50mm lens, would have been great to get some more panoramic shots. The ultimate was the morgue in the basement and all the toys scattered around the decaying play room.
I absolutely love anything creepy and abandoned, so sad to hear they are knocking it down over the next few weeks.
