TINY CLAW

You may remember that certain lunch I had with the Varg team and Maria Nilsdotter a few months back, well the ring I ordered finally arrived! It was a difficult choice as I could easily have worn them all, but fell in love with this style after I borrowed it in gold over fashion week last February. I decided on a smaller size so I can wear it above the knuckle, I usually have chunkier rings on anyway, so now I can wear them all together! So happy to add this little guy to the family.

LUNCH WITH MARIA NILSDOTTER

Last week, I was invited for lunch at Dean St Townhouse with Maria Nilsdotter to view the new and growing collection; I was happy to hear that Maria isn’t seasonal so much as just keeps adding to the collection, so you can always go back and purchase a favourite, which is perfect as her pieces are the things you want to wear time and time again.

The new collection, featuring feathers, masks and delicate twigs, was inspired by a swan princess who desperately wants to be human and so is hiding a piece of her. Maria’s story telling comes across so vividly with every new collection, born in Sweden, the stories originate from swedish folklore and childhood tales.

I had such a wonderful time meeting the lady behind the label, I can’t wait to grow my jewellery collection over time with these beautiful pieces. Thank you so much to Maria and Varg for the invite and great company, as well as Dean St Townhouse for having us!

You can find Maria Nilsdotter accessories at Shop at Bluebird and Browns Focus.

THE VARG FAMILY

After a surreal morning of trying to get into central London and failing due to student protests; we walked through the empty streets with loud helicopters hovering overhead, the mood was pretty strange, luckily we were able to seek refuge at Varg; possibly the nicest PR company i’ve ever met. The mood was like a family, Jen and I felt right at home, especially with Bob to keep us company! I was completely bewitched by the Maria Nilsdotter collection, totally in love, especially with the gold stacked spiked rings. Another brand that I’d obviously heard of before, but never really delved through rails of was Dagmar; beautifully made, well cut and would awesome up any outfit. One of the Dagmar sisters was in the Varg office when we arrived, she was so sweet and down to earth, it made me fall in love with the brand even more.

I think you’ll be seeing a lot more Swedish brands in my wardrobe in the near future, especially as I discovered that labels like Dagmar and Won Hundred are stocked right on my back door, at the Jaguar Shoes concept store; No-One in Shoreditch, watch out!

Others brands pictured above include Swedish Hasbeens, Dagmar, Cooee, Diana Orving, Finsk, and Stylein.

Thank you so much to Tove and the Varg team for having me.

A huge thank you to Varg for showing me around their office today, so many cool Swedish brands; like this beautiful Diana Orving dress, it was hard not to fall in love with everything. Looking forward to showing more cool things I picked up.
