GARETH PUGH X MELISSA LAUNCH

A few Fridays ago Sandra invited me along to the Gareth Pugh X Melissa launch at Layers on Conduit St. The crowd was pretty amazing; catsuits, club kids and total babes all mingling; for a long time we wondered if it was Gareth inside that square latex green glitter suit, until of course he arrived… It was Sandra’s outfit that killed me the most though – those iconic Balenciaga boots peaking through her amazing Bruno Pieters for Weekday skirt, argh! The shoes we were all there to see were pretty impressive too; my favourite were the gladiator sandals in matt black and white (bubblegum scented!); I think it’s going to be a seriously successful collaboration, congrats Pugh! After having a few drinks and dancing to the spice girls – what else would play at a Gareth Pugh party? – we ended the night sat on the pavement, two iconic boots side by side.
