OPPOSING COLOURS

Wearing: A.F. Vandevorst dress, Balenciaga shoes, Mimco bag.
Outfit worn a couple of days ago to the Jake & Dinos Chapman opening exhibition at the White Cube. My Favourite piece in the exhibition were all these children stood facing the wall, when you walked around to look at them they all had various animal snouts and mouths. Obviously being the Chapman brothers it’s somewhat avant-garde but if you’re into freaky stuff then GO.
I nearly missed the opening all together as I’d just been to a Nike training club event in Regents Park for a serious half an hour work out, followed by champagne and nibbles – oops! I’m sure I left worse off than before, but the trainer was amazing and I felt great afterwards. Definitely check it out as it’s free in various parks around London every week, great for when you can’t afford the gym.

BURBERRY/DAZED DIGITAL PARTY

Wearing: Sheer Helmut Lang shirt, vintage bra, Jil Sander trousers, Acne shoes, and Mimco bag.
We had so much fun at the Burberry/Dazed party last week! The photos are funny how they start out quite laid back and then the more champagne we drunk, the louder the photos get. How amazing are the bright Burberry foldable sunglasses too? So good for summer.
Love to my party girls Lexxi and Jacqui!

FASHION IN MOTION – YOHJI YAMAMOTO AT THE V&A

Last week I was went to the V&A to watch Fashion in Motion featuring the work of Yohji Yamamoto. It was very much a continuation from the exhibition and featured work from the Spring/Summer 2011 collections. The models were real life couples (so cute!) an idea which Yohji had first put into practise on his S/S 1999 collection, believing that he only makes 80% of the garment, the wearer completes the other 20 with how they make it their own.
The show was really beautiful, especially set in the Raphael Gallery with huge paintings surrounding the walls. The clothes were obviously amazing, so many textures and colours. I adored the prints against the deep black wools and the floating chiffon. The tailored shirts and jackets for the men were incredible, great use of fabrics. The finale piece that somewhat resembled a ‘naughties’ blow up creation (do you remember that trend?) put a smile on everyone’s face.
Thank you to Jasmine for inviting me. I’m seriously looking forward to V&A events like this in the future.

URBAN

A pre test prep photo I just found hanging around my iphoto. I love the contrast of the metal and brick. Wearing my beloved Ann Demeulemeester suede boots that have now broken, boo hoo!
